Music at Port Arthur
A short lunchtime concert helped to light up some wintry weather recently at Port Arthur.
Students from Melbourne's Northcote High School Band visited the Historic Site as part of a Tasmanian tour, and didn't take too much encouragement to pull out their instruments and give a short concert.
The performance in the Asylum building featured music of Mozart, Handel and Percy Grainger, enjoyed by a small but appreciative audience of staff and visitors.
There will be more music later in the season when the Australian Girls Choir visit the Site for two short concerts in early July.
