Introductory Tour & Harbour Cruise

Both the Introductory Tour and Harbour Cruise are included in the cost of entry to the Port Arthur Historic Site.

They make a terrific introduction to the Site, offering an orientation to its layout and its history.

Introductory Tour

Visitors taking a tour with one of Port Arthur's knowledgeable guides.

This tour is led by one of our trained guiding staff and provides an introduction to the most significant places on the Site, giving you a great foundation to continue exploring at your leisure.

Tours leave regularly from outside the Visitor Centre. Allow 45 minutes.

Harbour Cruise
A couple enjoy the harbour cruise around Port Arthur Harbour and look back to the historic ruins of the Australian convict site

The cruise passes the Dockyard, Point Puer Boys’ Prison, and the Isle of the Dead cemetery.

Guides provide an on-board commentary and the galley offers snacks, beverages and a bar service.

Tours leave throughout the day and you will receive your cruise time when you purchase your entry pass.
